This visa is issued to parents and grandparents of Canadian citizen and permanent residents of Canada. It is valid for 10 years but if your passport has less validity, it would be valid until the expiry date of your passport. In each arrival to Canada you can stay in Canada up to 2 years. You must be admissible and pass the medical examination. Also, you must get a Canadian medical insurance coverage of $100,000 for at least one year from the date of entry. In addition, you must have a written financial agreement from the child or grandchild including income requirements.
